An earth angel

Hello Deqlans Army

Sorry i havent posted a Deqlan update yet this week - we have been busy training with the most wonderful lady Liesl, who i think is an angel on earth - we still have tommorow to train with her and probably 2 days next week to get the ball rolling...

She has a wealth of experience in dealing with children on the Autism Spectrum - and she is so very very knowledgable - we have learnt so much with her in the past few days, its so hard to try and put it all down into words on the blog for you all to enjoy!

But what i can quickly tell you is that we are so excited at teaching Deqlan in the way that Liesl has trained us - we have already seen such great potential in Deqlan and she to, is very impressed at what Deqlan can already do!

I promise to fill you in with more details as soon as I can as well as all the pics and details of Declan Day which was fantastic.

Oh yes, Deqlans new words this week
GUAVA
PENGUIN
TOYOTA
AND.......DEQLAN! Yes, we heard him say Deqlan twice on Sunday night

And Deqlan is making so many sounds, so he is definitely starting to get a hang and understanding of this talking thing...so exciting!
