Hello Everyone

We had a great weekend- more on the Shavathon in the next post! We went to Marks work colleagues wedding on Saturday evening and it was the first Greek wedding we have ever been to.

My husband spoilt me with a trip to the hair dresser and Meggie kindly helped me get ready for the occasion!
With all the running around from the Shavathon in the morning, we were a little late and only gto to drop our precious Deqlan off by Nanna half an hour later then what we shouldve. Nanna and Grandpa said that Deqlan was an absolute star and ate so very very well! We also got stuck in road works on the way to the wedding so we only got to the church half way through the ceremony - never ever been late for a wedding in my life, but at least we got there safe and sound.
The church was absolutely beautiful - the most beautiful pictures of Our Lord and all the saint adorned the walls in gold , and beautiful gold chandeliers hung from the ceiling. The ceremony was mostly in Greek so we could only understand the few english words like, lets pray and amen - the most important.
It was lovely to meet some of Marks works colleagues - who are really entertaining! One of the ladies get me on the dance floor most of the night and even got Mark to dance ( although Mark will say he wasnt dancing !) I am waiting for the pics to prove it and will post those when Mark sends them, if he sends them to me!
We had a great evening , but missed our little guy very very much!
Congrats to you Peter and Lindene, you looked beautiful and the wedding was really one of the most enjoyable i have ever been to! Enjoy the honeymoon in Mauritius!
God Bless, love

Sounds like you had an absolute ball at the wedding.. Glad you could let your "hair down" a bit, Samm...

Don't worry at least you made it to the wedding during the ceremony, Stephan & I were so late for a wedding that we missed the entire ceremony and made it only for the reception. It happens to the best of us!

Love
Us
