Wends is a breast cancer survivor, and will be going in for a hysterectomy tomorow due to the finding of some cancerous cells, which seem to be in the very early stages.
Please pray that all goes great tommorow and that she is not in pain or discomfort as she recovers. Please pray that the cancer be banished from her body never to return.
The Lord is great Wends, and HE shall continue to take very good care of you, always
You are always in our thoughts and prayers

Hello Deqlans Army!
Its been ages since i did a proper update - you wouldnt believe all that has gone on the last few days which has kept us very very busy and thus my first chance to update on a lot of things is now!
Where do I start? Lets see...the wedding...
We attended the wedding of Kobus and Bronwin on Saturday and it was really wonderful .
Bron looked beautiful and she looked so happy, was wonderful to meet Kobus who is besotted with Bron. They have the most beautiful son, Matthew , who reminds Mark and I so much of Deqlan - it was so strange - as he walked down the aisle ( he was the cutest ring bearer ever) both Mark and I looked at each other and said how he reminded us of Deqlan - his face, his hair, how he walked , everything! It was also so wonderful to catch up with Nix and Darryl, Loren and Leigh, Louise and Roelof ( we have a gorgeous little daughter, Jessica 2, and have just found out they are now having twins, congrats guys! ) and of course Bron & Kobus and her family. They are off to Mauritius on Honeymoon and had to kiss Matt goodbye as he went with his grandparents to Parys for the week - poor Bron was very heartsore and I to had tears in my eyes - so sad to say goodbye to the loves of our life- for 1 minute or 1 week ! Whilst we were at the wedding I got a phone call from Meggie......
' Hi Sammy, i am at the hospital , they have admitted me' WHAT! I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EARS! Meggie was admitted to Unitas saturday evening with sky high blood pressure and 3 clots visible on an ultra sound! We dont know if it was from the first problem or a new one . Megs was given medicine and watched with a careful eye over the weekend. The condition was classified as Secondary Post Partum Hemorrhage - this basically means a hemorrhage more then 48 hours after Keaton arrived . The doctor then decided to intervene surgically to solve the problem permanently. Megs blood pressure was again a problem during surgery and the doc wanted Meggie to spend another night in the hospital. Thank Our Lord, Megs started feeling better and all was on track, and she was discharged yesterday. Please pray for Meggies total healing from this problem and for her to continue enjoying being a Mommy at home!
It wasnt even 2 hours before we received another phone call from Meggie that one of the people at Conrads work was in an accident in Conrads new bakkie! The trailer with a clients ordered and manufactured kitchen units flipped, causing the car to overturn! The drivers are regarded lucky to be alive as the car is a write off.
Otherwise...all is going well!
Deqlan has grown by the day - he is really looking so well! Has put on weight, his hair is so beautiful and blond, he is FULL AND I MEAN FULL of energy - he keeps us all on our toes - we have to have eyes everywhere as he gets up to lots of tricks. He continues to make us laugh and we just love him more each second. He LOVES trying to get into the cupboards he is not allowed into and he just seems to love kitchen utensils more then his own toys! They fascinate him! He has even started taking the broom out the cupboard to sweep the floor! He is going to make his wife very happy some day! Deqlan has mastered the art of getting onto and off our very high bed and on and off our couches. He Loves bathing and gets very excited when i run the water , he already starts lifting his leg to try and jump in. Deqlan has a real fascination for Morning Live, our breakfast programme in South Africa and he particular enjoys the stock exchange and commodities - Dada and Deqlan watch every morning as Morafe presents the FTSE and Dow Jones. When Deqlan hears the music he stops what ever he is doing and runs to the tv to check on the indicators for the day. We have a real genius on our hands already - he probably understands a lot more then I do!
I chatted to our oncologist yesterday who has suggested we go for the blood and urine tests and an ultra sound round the 12th of Feb - this will be our first follow up since the op and bone marrow aspiration. Please continue to pray very hard for our soldier - that he never ever ever ever relapses and that he continues to grow stronger each day!
I have so many many friends that are have just found out they pregnant, have been for a few months, baby due round the corner, i just want to say congrats to you all and hope the rest of your pregnancies go extremely well! Wow - i cant wait to meet all the new little CLAIRES, ELRIZA'S, TANIAS,SAMS,CELESTES ,LORENS OF THE WORLD - Deqlan and Keaton are going to be blessed with so many wonderful friends!
A huge congrats to Philip and Tracey on the arrival of Rakel on 26 jan! She arrived exactly 5 years after her brother Lionel did ! Congrats guys, enjoy this special time and what another wonderful gift The Lord has Blessed you with! Hope to meet the little princess soon.
Well let me run for now, promise to post some new pics and promise to try and post more regularly . Please , please keep all of our friends from around the world in your prayers, we have to keep them going, always, I know Our Lord continues to listen and continues to heal and give us his miracles.

WELL DONE LOGAN!
Logan has thoroughly been enjoying the first few weeks of grade one and has already excelled on the sports field!
She came first in the grade 1 sprints, and second out of all the grade 1 and 2 and 3 classes! So she has officially joined the athletics team and shall be very proud to dote her schools athletics kit!
Well done Logs! We are so proud of you! You must have lots of your Dads sporty genes in you !
Cant wait to see you again and cant wait to see in in action!

Hi All
Just a quick note to let you know our soldier still doing great! Getting into every cupboard, climbing up on every couch and seat he can reach, opening and closing every door he can!
We took him to the audiologist today to check if the chemo had caused any damage to his hearing, as it does in some children. The tests all seem fine and went well, Deqlan seems to respond more to language sound then tone sound. They have asked us to come back in 6 months to check on it again and we shall continue to keep on eye on it for a while.
Mark and I are going to a wedding tommorow , Bronwin and Kobus will be getting married at Eagles Eye country Estate!We hope the rain eases up for you and that you have the most stunning, unforgetable, wedding of your dreams which I am sure you will have! Congratulations and see you tommorow! Deqlan shall be speding tha afternoon with Grandpa and Nanna and i am sure to be spoilt rotten as always!
Keaton also went for his first check up and hearing test today, and he has already put on some weight, and all else looking great! He has a bit of fluid in his ear which she will watch over the next few weeks and hopefully it eases up and disapears! Keaton continues to melt our hearts and is a very very good baby according to his mommy and daddy! For those of you with facebook go and have a look at the gorgeous photos megs posted today , i have also put some on this post for you to enjoy.

Welcome Home Keaton
What a wonderful day! Keaton John Du Plessis arrived home with his very proud parents this afternoon!
What an absolute honor it was to meet my god son and nephew and hold him for the very first time! Nanna, Grandpa , Deqlan and I where fortunate enough to be able to go and meet the little guy and we all fell even more in love with him!
What a beautiful little soul he is - what a gift, Thank You Dear Lord for helping Keaton to get stronger each day and that he is now home safe and sound with his loving parents
It was the best feeling to hold such a tiny little baby again, cant believe Deqlan was so small only 16 months ago!
Keaton is tiny, but what a big spirit he has! He is to gorgeous , perfect little face, lots and lots of dark hair, eyes like his Daddys mouth like his Mommy! You just want to eat him up!
Deqlan was not to interested in the little guy, we dont think he quite realised that it was a tiny little human being and not a doll! As Conrad says, when Keaton starts crying and when he is awake Deqlan will soon be wanting to stroke and pat and poke and pull ha ha ha - he did try to rub his head , but we had to slow him down a little! Cant wait for them to play together, i just know they are going to be best of mates!
Congrats guys - you are the most fantastic, devoted, loving, caring parents I have ever seen and i know that nothing will ever harm a hair on your beautiful boys head - Conrad, I am so grateful to you for taking the most amazing care of Megs and Keaton - there is nothing that you wouldnt do for them - we knew that already by the way you looked after Megs and us, but even down to going clothes shopping and grocery shopping for Megs and Keaton - thank you from me, for taking such good care of my sister and nephew - you are truly one in a zillion. Megs, wow. i take my hat off to you to - I KNOW - how difficult it is to watch your son ICU and to have to stay over at the hospital , not being in your own space with your own things and all you want to do is bring little one home and have him in HIS clothes, in HIS bed, you did fantastically well and you never even moaned once about any pain or your discomfort - you truly now know what it is to feel a love so deep and true that you put yourself way back in the que - please also take care of yourself and let us take care of you to, rest and get your energy up and take it easy ! If there is anything we can do guys please just pick up the phone - we love you all so much and cant wait to see you soon again!
I must mention a story about Nanna - every Saturday evening we put our prayers that we have written on a piece of paper, into the prayer bowl which is placed on the altar. Nanna discovered that she put another piece of paper in instead of her prayers! We later figured out that it was Keatons feeding times that Nanna had written down, so as to know when Megs was busy in ICU and we wouldnt be able to visit or reach her. Isnt God amazing? Thats the exact thing that was needed to get Keaton home! To get his feeding into a routine and up to the volume he needed! God works in wonderful ways!

HOW IS DEQLAN DOING?
The answer to that is just great !
He is growing by the day and looking so healthy and well! Deqlans hair also continues to grow and get more beautiful each day - im even brushing it now!
Deqlan is getting cuter each day and more clever! Deqlan LOVES helping load and unpack the dishwasher but his favorite part is opening and closing to the door - which he does ALL BY HIMSELF NOW! The other firm favorite is helping me load and unload the washing machine - but i got to watch Deqlan as he loves pushing the buttons, that say RINSE PLUS, RINSE HOLD - so when i got to the machine to take the washing out, a stream of water came running out! so guess who had pressed the button for rinse hold!
We have the best time ever playing hide and seek - i say 'OK BYE' and Deqlan bursts out laughing and starts running away - it take him 10 - 20 seconds to give me enough time to hide , and then he turns around laughing even more , and starts to look for me - he knows my hiding places though so finds me quite easily , so ill have to come up with some new ones ! ha ha ha
He also LOVES when Dada whistles - this is a guaranteed laugh for our soldier..even Mark just pulling his lips in preparation to whistle sends Deqlan into bounds of laughter, the type that comes from your tummy, a real hearty laugh
I Forgot to mention that on Sunday , grandparents where allowed in for 10 minutes in Neo Natal ICU to see Keaton - so Sophie and Nanna got to see Keaton and where both smiles from ear to ear! I got to see the beautiful boy through the glass door - wasnt allowed to go in, but at least got to see Keaton close up for the first time - HE IS TO BEAUTIFUL, and call me crazy but i can definitely see Deqlan in him - i think its the mouth- i told Conrad, Keatons VERY PROUD Dad, but he says KEATON LOOKS LIKE KEATON! HA HA HA HA
We are patiently awaiting the great news that Keaton is coming home! The doctors and nurses are all very very impressed and thrilled with his progress so we trust it will be soon! Promise to keep you up to date!
I spoke to Doctor De Jager yesterday and he to had recieved the great news that Deqlans bone marrow was clear ! He has asked us to arrange for urine tests and then two weeks from the day we do the urine tests, we will arrange a check up wtih him to discuss the results and the game plan moving forward.
Please continue to pray hard for our little soldier ,that he has recieved his total and permanent healing

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HAYLI AND STUART
Dear Hayli and Stuart,
We wish you a very happy birthday and all the best for the year ahead. Thank you for your continued support, love and prayers. We are very thankful and appreciative of everything you do for us.

UPDATE FROM MEGS!
Hi All
Just recieved the following update from Megs which I would love to share with you:
Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all well. I decided to do a quick general update for you all on our beautiful Keaton and to say Thank you for all the calls, sms's, facebook and email messages and that Im sorry I have not replied to most of them.
Basically, my placenta ruptured and I woke up on Wednesday morning at 02hoo bleeding, we got to unitas and after doing a lot of tests they thought I was in early labour but that all changed when my doctor did a scan at 06h00 and saw the rupture!
From there we went to theatre and I have an emergency c-section as my doctor felt that leaving Keaton in would be a great danger to his life and he thinks that Keaton would not have had a heart beat by Wednesday evening if he did not come out.
He was born at 10h01 weighing 2.510kgs and is 50cm long! As soon as they took him out I heard him cry which made me feel that all was okay and his Apgar score was 9/10 both times. He started a granting sound in recovery and they put him into an incubator for 1/2 as they thought he was cold, but the paed took him out and transferred him to Neo Natal ICU. The medical term for going to ICU was Resiportory Distress - they blew one steroid into him lungs through a machine which worked to open up his lungs - there is nothing wrong with his lungs they just needed to be opened - after that he was on oxygen and then he only had drips and a feeding tube. Yesterday all the drips were taken out. Today his feeding tube was taken out. He is not on any type of medication, oxygen or medical assistance in ICU, the only reason he is still there is to make sure he learns to feed enough at each feed, as some prem babies dont have the energy to drink for a long period of time.
He is gorgious and the light of my life - Conrad and I actually fight as to who will do the diaper change ect and we are so in love with our little guy..... I look at him and still cant believe that he is mine - a miracle sent from our God and that our God is watching over him very closely! I cant wait to take him home and be a mommy - wow NO ONE can prepare you for such love - such intense love............

QUICK UPDATE
Hello All
Just a very quick update to let you know Megs is doing great - she is walking around like she did before the caesar! I remember i was in terrible pain for the first 3 days and couldnt walk straight, couldnt even get in the shower! But not Meggie - she has been up and about as often as she can to get to our gorgeous Keaton!
Keaton is doing very very well and feeding is improving with each meal time! Saw some photos of him after he had pulled his naso gastric tube out, so you can really see his beautiful face now, how beautiful and how precious he is - i cant wait to meet you properly little guy! But you rest up and get strong now, Aunty Samm shall patiently wait for you to get stronger! Oh , the joy when you meet Deqlan for the first time, he wil instantly fall in love with you and want to bring you home with us!!!!!
Please continue to pray for Keaton to continue doing so well and for Megs and Conrad to continue doing the wonderful job they are doing of attending to Keatons every need!

KEATON!
Had to do another post with some news photos of our gorgeous new member of the family Keaton John Du Plessis
Keaton is doing much better today and the oxygen assistance was removed. He now has a naso gastric tube in to get the milk down into his tummy until he is feeding on his own.Docs and urses very happy with his progress. He has started feeding today and doing great !
We are not quite sure when then little guy will be allowed to come home, the wait is now for him to start feeding well! Please pray for our beautiful Keaton to continue doing so well and getting stronger each moment!
Mom and Dad are doing great and managed to get a bit of sleep on Wednesday night !
Meggie is already been walking around today and not complaining of pain at all ! I am so proud of you Meggie, I remember it was extremely painful and difficult for me, but you are looking so fantastic Megs!

Update on Keaton
Hello All
Just a quick update to let you know all is well - Megs is doing great , just very tired and in need of some sleep - Conrad to!
Keaton was moved to neonatal icu this afternoon , to give him some steroids to help his lungs mature a bit more and he is on oxygen to also help along - i wish i could give you all the medical term of the pipe they are using but my mind has gone for a ball of chalk at this time of night - will get as much information on it and will post more asap. The doctors and nurses happy with Keaton but want to ensure he has as much help as he needs .Please pray for Keatons lungs to continue growing stronger each moment of the day , please pray for this little champ to feel much better in the morning and for his Mom and Dad to get some rest tonight

Welome to the world Keaton!
We recieved a call at 2am this morning saying Meggie was at the hospital as she had started bleeding and had some pain. What a fright we got, total shock and worry
It was discovered that the placenta had ruptured and an emergency caesar was planned for 9am this morning.
By the time Nanna and I had reached Meggy and Conrad, Meggie was definitely having contractions and a little bit uncomfie - otherwise her and Conrad where the picture of calmness.
Conrad, the amazing Dad that he is, got all of Keatons bags and Meggie things packed and headed back to the hospital early hours of this morning
Meggie and Conrad where so excited - their faces just beamed with delight
Dr Scribante told Megs that Keaton could go to ICU beacause of his lungs being slightly imature being 2 1/2 weeks early.
Megs was wheeled into theatre at 0920am and Keaton arrived at 10.01am , weighing in at 2.51kg, 50cm in length, dark hair and gorgeous!
Megs lost alot of blood during the caesar to do the ruptured placenta, but was very happy at how everything else went.
Conrad and Megs had smiles on their faces the size of watermelons - both beaming with pride and joy.
Thank You Lord , Keaton did not need to go to ICU, but they have put him in an incubator as he was grunting a little - it is thought that his lungs and ribs are not quite ready and will leave him in the incubator and get the paediatrician to come back and check in on him regularly
Promise to update with more news as soon as I can - but in the mean time so photos of Keaton very hot off the press! Please pray for Meggies speedy recovery and for Keaton's breathing to improve.
Keaton John Du Plessis - you are to beautiful for words! You kinda took us by surprise this morning , but we know God chose today for your Birthday, especially for you!I cant wait to hold and love you and kiss you and see you open your eyes. You look a little like your Mommy to me, but definitely lots of your Dad to - they are beaming with pride - what a gift you are to them and to us. I already love you more then words could ever say, and I promise to always look after you, show you the right ways, spoil you, have fun with you , love you so very very much, guide you , teach you all about God and be here for you , ALWAYS.Mark and I are so proud to be your Godparents and I promise you we shall always love and treasure and guard you with our lives. I CANT WAIT FOR YOUR COUSIN DEQLAN TO MEET YOU - he is going to be as in love with you as we already are - i cant wait to see his face the first time he see's yours, i cant wait to hear him giggle with laughter when you open your eyes and peek up at him, i cant wait to see you both in the bath playing and giggling together, running in the bushes ( please leave the snakes alone) , going to school, having sleep overs, learning how to drive cars, and just being the best of friends I know you are going to be. Thank you for choosing your Mommy and Daddy so wisely, I can guarantee you made the best choice possible - there is no one who will love you more, treasure you more, look after you as tightly as they will. Your Daddy has an enormous place in our hearts and we consider him to be our brother, in heart and soul. The way he has looked after your Mommy and our family is amazing - he has the hugest heart and there is nothing to big for him, he is always there for you and your cousin Deqlan got visits from him almost every day whilst in hospital . He is going to take the best care of you and Mommy, what a lucky boy you are. Your Mommy, is my sister, my best friend , my protector, my shoulder to cry on , my rock . What an amazing lady she is - she has the hugest heart of anyone i know, she goes out of her way to help others and she loves unconditionally - you will learn many of your Mommys traits and she will also lead you towards The Lord. She to was by Deqlans side every second of his journey and picked me up many a day, even with you still in her tummy! Please look after them my darling little Keaton - they are very precious to us and I know you have now made their world complete!We Love You so much, now go and get your rest and let those little lungs get stronger by the minute. DADA, THE CROCODILE HUNTER
What a day....we came home to the dogs barking and when Mark went downstairs to investigate , i recieved the following phone call ' THERE IS A COBRA IN THE GARDEN' - 'WHAT?' i said, thinking i must be hearing things ... sure enough i popped my head out the window and found Mark standing dead still in the garden looking towards some leaves
I immediately told Mark to stand back and get as far away from it as he could, but he said he wanted to watch it and make sure it didnt go anywhere else. I panicked, there where some tears and fears, but i pulled myself together and called the vet - they gave me a number for 'someone who can help with this sort of thing' called Henki , from the conservation corporation.
Henki was a little reluctant to come out and said if we saw the snake again we should call him, I explained very nicely to him ,that the snake hadnt gone anywhere and was still in Marks sight . I eventually twisted his arm to come and take it away - he stays approx 40 minutes away from us - well , he got here in 20 ! I told him we thought it was a cobra, and from what i explained he agreed and proceeded to tell me they are very poisonous. Great...more panic, more shouting to Mark to get inside - but Henki asked that he kept on eye on the snake as it would be very difficult to track him down in our large garden should he move.
Thank Your Lord for Henki - what a stunning guy who knew exactly what he was doing !
He put his protective glasses on and within seconds had picked the snake up - Mark and our land lord, werner, immediately stepped back a step or two. So did I, even though I was safe and sound up stairs with Deqlan, who was none the wiser to all the comotion.
Henki gave Mark and Werner some details on the snake, 'she' is round 6 years old, just over a metre long, although 'she' looked much much longer to me. These cobras only come out 2 or 3 weeks of the year to mate and eat , and 'she' has had a mouse or rat for breakfast or supper the night before , and tummy was so full it couldnt move and was just waiting for a bit of digestion to occur, in the spot 'she' decided on in our garden, of all places!
'she' was very reluctant to get into Henki's bag and eventually he decide to pick her up by her head! Well, i never, i thought my nerves had taken enough for the day, but this just pushed them into over drive. It was one last look at her and into the bag she went. Thank you Lord no harm was done, thank you it did not come upstairs and most importantly Thank You Lord Mark is ok !
Mark is the most excellent photographer ! Very calm and cool under pressure! Enjoy the shots - although 'she ' is exquisite and so beautiful - snakes are my number 1 fear , after spiders, very closely behind.
Enough excitement for 1 day thanks - lots more to follow tommorow - hoping to get bone marrow results as well as tummy bug results tommorow - please pray very hard for clear clear clear bone marrow!

A trip to the Doctor!
Hello All
Hope you had a great weekend! Not sure if i mentioned it but Deqlan has been teething, the last 4 back teeth, and has had terrible nappies to go along with it!
This started on Thursday after the biopsy, but over the weekend seemed to get a little worse and didnt look very pleasant at all
So today, we went to visit our new paediatrician- this is the one the oncologist at Unitas recommended. She is wonderful, Deqlan very at ease with her and her office looks like an enchanted forest - we felt very comfortable with her. They even arranged a seperate room for us to wait in so we didnt have to sit with the other kids and chances of them having something Deqlan could catch
Dr Engelbrecht says she thinks its a virus in Deqlans colon - we sent a sample away and hope to get the results by Wednesday - this will determine if Deqlan needs an antibiotic or not - we just need to keep an eye on him and make sure he has lots of wet nappies and stays hydrated and no fevers.
While i was trying to listen to Doctor about a lot of other questions i had - Nanna and Meggy were trying to entertain our Deqlan - he was in fits of laughter and I couldnt manage to keep a straight face whilst trying to concentrate and had to apologise went i burst out laughing - Deqlan is so dam cute - he is cuter and gets more clever every day - he has figured, well Dad has tought him how to get on and off the couch all by himself. He also loves closing doors and cupboards after we have opened them.
We are still waiting on final results of bone marrow biopsy and should hear by Thursday - i am going to call on Wednesday thoughto check if they are out ! I will then contact Dr Dejager, our oncologist to schedule follow up and first follow up scan . Please continue to pray for Deqlan, for his total and permanent healing and for fantastic results confirming Deqlan to be NED
Well today marks 3 weeks till Meggy has Keaton - I CANT BELIEVE ITS ONLY 3 WEEKS TO GO - we walked past the maternity ward and the theatre where Megs will have her caesar and we all got very excited - she had a little bit of a scare with high blood pressure at her last check up but Nanna has kept a close eye on it, checking it every day and it has seemed to come down back to normal. Megs is tired and wanting they day to arrive - she said she is ready, bring it on!
We are waiting for Nanna to go for a colonoscopy to check further into what is causing her stomach pains- she had a scan done on Friday but nothing was picked up - we are hoping to have the procedure booked asap to get Nanna feeling much better again - please pray very hard for great results.

They even arranged a seperate room for us to wait in so we didnt have to sit with the other kids and chances of them having something Deqlan could catch
Dr Engelbrecht says she thinks its a virus in Deqlans colon - we sent a sample away and hope to get the results by Wednesday - this will determine if Deqlan needs an antibiotic or not - we just need to keep an eye on him and make sure he has lots of wet nappies and stays hydrated and no fevers.
While i was trying to listen to Doctor about a lot of other questions i had - Nanna and Meggy were trying to entertain our Deqlan - he was in fits of laughter and I couldnt manage to keep a straight face whilst trying to concentrate and had to apologise went i burst out laughing - Deqlan is so dam cute - he is cuter and gets more clever every day - he has figured, well Dad has tought him how to get on and off the couch all by himself. He also loves closing doors and cupboards after we have opened them.
We are still waiting on final results of bone marrow biopsy and should hear by Thursday - i am going to call on Wednesday thoughto check if they are out ! I will then contact Dr Dejager, our oncologist to schedule follow up and first follow up scan . Please continue to pray for Deqlan, for his total and permanent healing and for fantastic results confirming Deqlan to be NED
Well today marks 3 weeks till Meggy has Keaton - I CANT BELIEVE ITS ONLY 3 WEEKS TO GO - we walked past the maternity ward and the theatre where Megs will have her caesar and we all got very excited - she had a little bit of a scare with high blood pressure at her last check up but Nanna has kept a close eye on it, checking it every day and it has seemed to come down back to normal. Megs is tired and wanting they day to arrive - she said she is ready, bring it on!
We are waiting for Nanna to go for a colonoscopy to check further into what is causing her stomach pains- she had a scan done on Friday but nothing was picked up - we are hoping to have the procedure booked asap to get Nanna feeling much better again - please pray very hard for great results.

WE ARE HOME
HELLO ALL
JUST A QUICK NOTE BEFORE MY LAP TOP BATTERY GOES FLAT THAT WE ARE AT HOME, ALL WENT VERY WELL AND UNITAS PAEDS ONCOLOGY UNIT AND STAFF WERE FANTASTIC.
DEQLAN DID VERY WELL AND DIDNT EVEN MOAN ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO EAT OR DRINK SINCE 10 LAST NIGHT
WE MET SOME MORE PATIENTS, A 4 YEAR OLD WITH NEPHROBLASTOMA, HAD KIDNEY TAKEN OUT SO NOW A STAGE 2, SO BETTER PROGNOSIS - A 9 MONTH OLD WITH STAGE 3 NEUROBLASTOMA, PARALISED FROM THE TUMOR WRAPPED AROUND HER SPINE,BUT HOPEFUL TO WALK AGAIN AFTER ITS REMOVED. THEN A 6 YEAR OLD WHO IS AWAITING DIAGNOSIS OF EITHER NEURO OR NEPHRO BLASTOMA. PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL THESE CHILDREN WHO ARE ONLY AT THE START OF THEIR JOURNEYS.
THE WHOLE PROCEDURE TOOK LONGER THEN WE THOUGHT AS THE FANTASTIC ANEATHETIST BATTLED TO GET A VEIN FOR THE DRIP WHICH DIDNT SURPRISE US - BUT ALL WENT WELL AND THE WONDERFUL PATHOLOGIST GOT THE ASPIRATION AND BIOPSY - THE FIRST SET OF RESULTS EXPECTED LATER TODAY , THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE TOMMOROW AND THE REMAINDING ON MONDAY
DEQLAN WOKE UP VERY GROGGY AFTER THE OP AND WAS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER - WE GAVE HIM A BOTTLE TO SEE IF HE WAS HUNGRY - HE DRANK A BIT AND CONTINUED TO CRY ALOT AND THEN THREW IT ALL UP - HE WAS MUCH BETTER AFTER THAT AND CONTINUED ONTO WATER AND JUICE AND WE ARRIVED HOME AFTER LUNCH TIME - HE IS NOW RUNNING AROUND - NO PAIN AT ALL , LAUGHING AND BACK TO HIS NORMAL SELF - THANK YOU LORD
A LOVELY GENTLEEN BY THE NAME OF GRAHAM JUST POPPED IN TO PRAY FOR DEQLAN - I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES WHEN DEQLAN STRECHED OUT HIS ARMS TO GO TO GRAHAM!!!!! THANK YOU DEAR LORD
I have just recieved the report from the surgeon, have it in my hands - and it reads:
I ENCLOSE THE HISTOLOGY AND YOU WILL NOTE THAT ONLY MATURE GANGLIONEUROMA IS PRESENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This means that every area that they tested from , the cells are completely mature and DEAD!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Dear Lord, Thank YOU! We rejoice in YOUR name and again i say REJOICE!!!!
I cant even begin to explain how thankful I feel - i am on my knees , Thank You Dear Lord -THROUGH YOU ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE!
Just as i was reading the results to Nanna, Grandpa and Meggy , and of course Deqlan himself, Deqlan gave a great big scream and lifted his hands as if to say HOORAY ITS DEAD!
It also stated that the mass was 4 x 3 x 1cm, so much bigger then what they ct scan or ultrasound picked up, but its out - its out-its out!!!!!!!!
The surgeon again metions that the op was quite taxing to remove all the bits off the arteries and that if left he suspected definite problems with high blood pressure and other kidney problems. He confirmed that this started from the left para aortic side partially encasing the aorta and surrounding the origin of the left artery and the course of left renal artery and vein taxing the tenacity of the surgeon for a while. The upper extent of the tumour was at the lower pole of the left adrenal - both adrenals are normal.
Prof Beale ends the letter congratulating Dr De Jager on a highly satisfactory outcome for Deqlan!
What amazing doctors we have been Blessed with - Thank You Lord for working your miracles through Prof Beale and Dr De Jager - two names i shall always remember with such fondness and absolute gratitude and trust and respect.
Thank you to you all for your continued prayers and support - please continue to pray for Deqlans total and permanent healing, permanently

SOME SAD NEWS
FROM JILLIANS WEBSITE:
our beautiful little girl has earned her wings about a half hour ago. She went peacefully and in her sleep. I was going to wausaw to pick out a dress for her and the furneal. I wasnt even a block away from the house when jason called and said she wasnt breathing. She waited for me to leave. Please ask the lord the keep her safe and sound
PLEASE PRAY FOR PEACE AND COMFORT FOR JILLIANS FAMILY
