TODAY IS THANKSGIVING DAY

Today is going to be seen as a day of thanks giving - that we are at this point in Deqlans journey, that he is doing so well that we can remove his port.

Our green and camo outfits are on, we are packing and Deqlan has just finished a banana muffin for breakfast - hoping he is ok until this afternoon, he should be , seeing he is a fussy eater at the moment!

The nerves are of course still there waiting and wanting everything to go smoothly and for Deqlan to be in our arms , port free, smiling and pain free as possible.

Please could you all lift Deqlan up in prayer this morning for extra special protection as he has the port removed, that it is not attached to anything and that it is easy enough for Prof Beale to remove, for Deqlans speedy recovery and for him never ever to need a port again.

Please lift all our warriors and angels up , as well as their families and friends to, that they can all get to this point of having their ports and lines removed to , with them also reaching NED forever.

Will post as soon as i can, have lots of news and pics and stories to share, just as soon as i get the chance!

God Bless, thank you for your prayers and support
All our love
Mark, Samm, Deqlan

To our precious and darling Deqlan,

Mommy is so correct when she has declared this day to be "Thanksgiving Day" and it is such a special way to give glory to our great God, His Son - Our Saviour and Healing Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We give praise and are humbled by the fact that your healing journey has reached the stage where your port can be safely removed (since it will NEVER be needed again, we declare in faith, hope and trust in the Lord !). Mommy, Daddy, Megs and I have spoken about this day from the very start of your journey and whilst we all sat together talking and praying outside theatre (today will mark the sixth time), awaiting your return from the recovery room. We KNOW that God will always be with you, but He will be especially close to you to bless you today during this significant moment in time. He will also guide the hands, minds and expertise of the anaethetist,Prof Beale and the nursing team to ensure the best possible outcome for you. We salute you, you are our inspiration and our hero darling Deqlan and we love you so very, very much. We will, for the remainder of our lives, forever lift you up in prayer and have great faith that you are to remain NED all the days of your life.

We also salute Mommy and Daddy and lift them up in prayer and ask that today, especially, they are filled with His peace, His love, His joy and His strength and that His promises continue to fuel their greath faith, hope and trust in Him. Your MOmmy and Daddy have been extraordinary and loving parents and you are as blessed to have them, as they are to have you. Your incredible story serves as a great lesson to us all and we are humbled to our knees in Thanksgiving to God and in Thanksgiving for you, Mommy and Daddy.

All will be well, as exactly as it should be. God bless you, darling Deqlan, our precious little "man, full of prayer" - the meaning of your name.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, we place our trust in Thee, all for Thee o Lord, o my Jesus all for Thee.

All our love,

Nanna and Grandpa
